Abstract

Dieser Beitrag wendet sich in qualitativer diskurslinguistischer Perspektive multimodalen Praktiken der Selbstverortung, Positionierung und Prädikation im Kontext der Waldbestattung zu. Dazu werden in diesem Beitrag öffentliche Reflexionen näher betrachtet, in denen sich unterschiedliche Agierende explizit auf den FriedWald als einen in Deutschland noch jungen alternativen Bestattungsort außerhalb des traditionellen Friedhofs beziehen. Aus diesen Reflexionen werden Eigenschaften herausgearbeitet, welche die Agierenden dem spezifischen Bestattungsort transtextuell zuweisen und die darauf hinweisen, dass sie den Bestattungsort Wald mehrheitlich als einen Trostort evaluieren, der den negativen emotionalen Zustand der Trauer zu lindern vermag. Hier steht nicht nur der Wald selbst im Zentrum der Trostreflexion. Vor allem rücken trostspendende Aspekte einer postmortalen Beziehungspflege in den Fokus, die der Bestattungswald Hinterbliebenen ermöglicht.

This paper turns to multimodal practices of self-localization, stance taking and conceptual attribution in the context of forest burial from a qualitative discourse-linguistic perspective. To this end, this paper takes a closer look at public reflections in which different actors explicitly refer to the FriedWald as an alternative burial place that is still young in Germany compared to the traditional cemetery. From these reflections, features are extracted which the actors transtextually assign to the specific burial place. These features indicate that actors evaluate the burial place forest as a place of comfort which is able to alleviate the negative emotional state of mourning. In the context of this reflection, the forest itself is not the only focus. It is above all about the comforting aspects of post-mortem relationship care that the funeral forest makes possible for the bereaved.
